Call for Abstracts: EGU General Assembly, 3–8 May 2026. Submission deadline 15 January 2026, 13:00 CET.

The Commission on Tephrochronology is sponsoring three sessions with partners Tephra Hazard Modelling Commission, Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia, and the Tephra Information Portal. Together they cover everything even slightly tephra related:

Call for Submissions: GeoHorizons and JQS

From the COT-THM-INTIMATE meeting in Sicily 2024, we present a GeoHorizon special issue – Tephra: from reconstructing past volcanic eruptions to modelling and forecasting future hazards, edited by A. Hodgetts, T. Aubry, P. Jarvis, B. Jensen, F. Beckett, E. Lebas.  For more details and to learn how to contribute to this volume please email Alastair Hodgetts (alastair.hodgetts@ed.ac.uk). The submission deadline is 31st August 2026.

Also sponsored by COT is a tephra special issue in the Journal of Quaternary Science – Beyond the Eruption: Advances and applications in distal tephra analysis across the Geosciences, edited by D.
