Nominations due: April 30th<\/sup> 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elections are coming up for the COT executive and we are looking for people interested to run. Positions are Chair, <\/em>Officer of Communications, Officer of Membership, Officer of Meetings <\/em>and Early Career Researcher Representative<\/em>. Descriptions of each position and what they entail are available below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Location for next tephra meeting (2028) – Call for nominations<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

After our successful meeting this past fall in Sicily (IAVCEI newsletter vol. 4 2024, pg. 20<\/a>), we are looking ahead to the next meeting that must be held by 2028. With that in mind, we are soliciting interest in a team that would like to host the next COT meeting. The hosts will have a local organizing committee and lead the organization, but will be supported by the COT executive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are interested (or have questions), please send nominations (or questions) to Britta Jensen and Paul Albert (COT_general@protonmail.com<\/strong>). Nominations should comprise of a short biography and explanation as to why you would like the position. Meeting hosts should include information on location, venue, and potential field trips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Timeline: <\/strong>Nominations open April 1st<\/sup> and will go until April 30th<\/sup>. Voting opens May 12th<\/sup> and will go until May 30th<\/sup>. Voting will be online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
